Overview

Laciny Bros., Inc., a family-owned custom fabrication company, is seeking a full-time Senior Project Engineer to join our team.  Since 1916, Laciny Bros. has specialized in providing quality custom fabrication in a wide variety of industries and applications.  As a multi-disciplined “jack of all trades”, we offer a fast paced, rewarding work environment that fosters creativity, teamwork and high-end craftsmanship. 

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be tasked with providing expert solutions to some of our most valued clients.  Acting as liaison to some of the area’s top manufacturers, your role is to maintain Laciny Bros.’ dedication to quality craftsmanship and customer service.  We pride ourselves on our talent, creativity and work ethic, and are actively seeking qualified candidates who share these ideals and are eager to carry Laciny Bros. into the next generation.  

Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining high level relationships with current and new clients
  • Execute site visits to assess project scope, develop projects internally and present solutions to customers
  • Manage projects throughout the fabrication process, occasionally including onsite installation
  • Maintaining key accounts
  • Develop new business through superior job execution
Skill Requirements

An ideal candidate has:

  • A full, working knowledge of a shop floor and a clear understanding of the various fabrication processes
  • A minimum of five years of Project Management, or sales experience, and the skills required to successfully develop and maintain high level relationships
  • Expert problem-solving capabilities
  • The interpersonal skills to excel in a team environment
  • An ability to conceptualize/develop solutions from scratch and oversee the execution and implementation of the concepts in a manufacturing environment
  • A firm understanding of non-corporate, family business culture

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience within the industry
  • Strong background and/or personal experience in metal fabrication techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain relationships
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech or food/beverage industries
  • Must have an elevated working knowledge of sanitary design and fabrication
  • Experience quoting jobs and maintaining budgets
  • A mechanical engineering degree is preferred
